IOF soldiers detain 14 Palestinians, Abbas militias detain 4 others

JENIN -- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) detained 14 Palestinians in various West Bank areas at dawn Monday during violent incursions that included breaking into civilian homes, locals reported.

They said that the arrests were made in the districts of Jenin, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Al-Khalil and Nablus, and added that property were damaged in the process.

IOF soldiers fired a sonic bomb at a citizens' car in Nablus district that started fire in it.

In Husan, Bethlehem district, the IOF troops detained a teen and three boys on charges of throwing stones at settlers' cars.

In Al-Khalil a 32-year-old Palestinian was admitted into the government hospital after the IOF soldiers severely beat him up at a roadblock near Dhaheria village.

Meanwhile, militias loyal to former PA chief Mahmoud Abbas rounded up four Palestinians in Nablus and Qalqilia for supporting Hamas Movement.

Locals said that Tarek Abu Zaid, the Aqsa TV correspondent in Nablus, was one of those detained. [adm/palestine-info]
