OCCUPIED JERUSALEM -- The Israeli police on Monday interrogated Sheikh Raed Salah, the leader of the Islamic Movement in 1948 occupied Palestine, for four hours at the Maskobeh police center in occupied Jerusalem.

The questioning focused on Sheikh Salah's speech at the rally the Aqsa in danger -14, which was held in Um Al-Faham on 2/10/2009.

After the interrogation, the Islamic leader said that he was adamant on all what he said at the rally, adding that the Israeli occupation is the prime party responsible for any confrontations before or after the rally.

The Aqsa foundation for endowment and heritage, for its part, warned that any attempt to link between the rally and the latest events in the Aqsa Mosque was absurd.

It charged that the Israeli occupation authority was the one that caused the recent events and other confrontations in the Aqsa Mosque. [adm/palestine-info]
